Kris Allen kicks off the Fall Season!

The AUPAC (Adelphi University Performing Arts Centre) kicked off this performance season exactly a week ago with a phenomenal and well known performer.

He is the winner of the 8th Season of American Idol and that is none other than Kris Allen. Performing an array of songs, from country to pop, he got the entire audience moving and grooving. Not only did he entertain us, but he also brought on stage on of our own Adelphi students from the music department to jam with him!

Thank you Kris Allen for being a great start to the Fall Season of the PAC.

Check out:
for more information on upcoming performances, and if you buy tickets before the 27th of this month, there is also a special discount on tickets to 3 or more shows!

Be there, and be a part of all the magic.

Our Ambassador Family: Rebecca Singh

Meet our ambassador family! These students are all shining stars of the Adelphi community, involved in various ways, and they all have the opportunity to represent Adelphi on your next tour.

Meet Rebecca Singh, a transfer student, and a Senior English major from Bellerose, NY.

  • What is your favorite spot on campus?
    • My favorite spots are the library, the Performing Arts Center, and the Underground Cafe.
  • What is your favorite spot in the local area?
    • My favorite spot in the local area is Witches' Brew because it's a great spot for coffee and desserts!
  • What are your favorite social and academic experiences that you have had at Adelphi?
    • Social: My favorite social experience has been being the President of the South Asian Student Association. It was a privilege to lead an organization that spread South Asian culture and diversity across campus by engaging students in many events and activities.
    • Academic: My favorite academic experience has been my study abroad trip to London, where I studied London theatre. Not only did it help me grow as an individual, but also taught me about European culture, which I've learned to embrace.
  • Why did you transfer to Adelphi?
    • I chose to come to Adelphi because I felt that I could be myself at this university. I can get involved, which benefits my personal growth, and I've been given so many wonderful opportunities towards my career as an aspiring Journalist. I always say, "home is where the heart is," and Adelphi has become my home and transferring here has been the greatest decision I've made so far in my college career.

WELCOME BACK! GET INVOLVED!

Hey there new, returning, or prospective Adelphi students! Welcome Back! I hope everyone enjoyed their summer! As hard as it is to leave the beach and switch beach bags filled with towels and sunscreen for backpacks with books and folders, it makes it a little easier knowing we're coming back to our beautiful campus! Speaking of coming back, how happy is everyone to finally be all settled in? If you're like me, you waited until the last possible minute to pack everything up, and the day before move-in you were completely stressed. But moving everything in quickly became worth it after driving onto campus and being reunited with friends!

A new year means new opportunities to join some of the amazing clubs and organizations on campus.  If you were to talk to anyone who's already graduated college, if they have any regrets whatsoever, it most likely be if they weren't involved. Being involved on campus opens up so many opportunities, both professionally and in terms of meeting new people. Did you know that here at Adelphi we have over 80 clubs and organizations?! Whaaat?! So even if you feel as if there's nothing here for you, believe me, you just need to look a little harder!

Some of those over 80 clubs and organizations include: Robotics Club, Habitat for Humanity, Student Activities Board, Class Government Club, Biology Club, and Greek Life! Pretty much any club you ever wanted, we have here at Adelphi! Along with these, we also offer club sports and intramural sports. So if you enjoy baseball, badminton, equestrian, and other sports, but don't feel like committing to joining the team, then join the club team! And just remember, if there is something you're extremely passionate about, but we don't have a club for it, just head over to Center for Student Involvement (CSI) and make your own club!!
*PS- Still not sure what clubs/organizations to join? Come to the CSI Activities Fair on Tuesday September 8th between 11:30am and 2pm*

So after you get yourself involved in campus, take some time for yourself! Get a coffee in the nicely air conditioned Underground, or catch some sun on the quad!

HAPPY SEPTEMBER 🌞
